You will have all the privacy of a remote off the beaten path lake retreat with the convenience of Warrensburg, Sedalia, Knob Noster, Clinton, Lees Summit and Kansas City. Centrally located between all of these great cities you can get away without being away.
Exclusive access to at-home comfort and Missouri's natural beauty
Rock House Retreats vacation rental includes exclusive access to the large house, complete with all the amenities that our guests will need during their stay. The house is located on an 80 acre property that features a 5 acre lake. The property also includes a large wooded area and rolling hills of native Missouri grasses. Guests at Rock House Retreats have unique access to Missouri’s beautiful natural life, and the luxuries of a clean, well-outfitted home away from home.
Rock House guests have numerous opportunities for family fun, relaxation, and nature exploration. The two large living rooms in the Rock House are well supplied with games, puzzles, coloring books, and movies for guests of all ages. A ping-pong table and yard games like badminton, giant Connect 4, and corn hole can be found in the garage. Kayaks, life jackets, a canoe and a paddle boat are available, and guests are welcome to fish the stocked lake per Missouri's fishing licensure regulations. Numerous mowed trails wander through the property with geocache style treasure hunts set up along them.
The Rock House is located near Chilhowee, in Johnson County, MO20 minutes from Warrensburg,. We are 30 minutes from Powell Gardens, 30 minutes from Clinton, 40 minutes from the state fairgrounds in Sedalia, 30 minutes from Whiteman Air Force Base, and 1 hour from downtown Kansas City.
